-L’isola Farm-

Concept

"L'isola" means "island" in Italian. Amakusa is an island consisting of more than 150 large and small islands. With abundant fish species from the Ariake Sea, Yatsushiro Sea, and East China Sea, fruits and vegetables suitable for warm climates can be harvested all year round. In our shop, our own farm "Resora Farm" will start in 2020.

Our mission and action guidelines state that we will always do our utmost to create a prosperous community by realizing each person's dreams. Mitsuda's dream of the staff working at the Chikuwa factory at that time was in agriculture. The business started by realizing the strong desire of "I want to farm someday!".

We have been in the tourism industry in Amakusa for over 30 years. Among them, in 2015, we opened L'isola Terrace Amakusa, a complex tourist facility such as a restaurant, bakery, general store, and cafe. The reason why we incorporated the restaurant business into L'isola Terrace Amakusa is that we aim to contribute to the local community by making many people aware of the better ingredients in the region. In the first place, we have been in the retail business for over 30 years, but we have always been developing products using local ingredients. Thanks to you, we still have many transactions with local fishery producers. However, the contributions involved in agriculture were still insufficient. By operating a restaurant, we will utilize more local ingredients and provide them as delicious dishes to our customers. Many customers can eat the most delicious vegetables and fruits of the season.

Meals are one of the purposes of visiting the area, and even more so when it comes to sightseeing, it is one of the pleasures to eat delicious food using seasonal ingredients in the area. Please enjoy the seasonal ingredients of Amakusa at our restaurant.

[Resola Farm Initiatives]

I would like to open a tourist farm in the near future. For that reason, we have started cultivating 80 "blueberries" of 20 types and 40 of 5 types of "kiwi".

We are cultivating a test to see which type is suitable for Amakusa.

Basil, corn, arugula, potatoes, green soybeans, pumpkin, red radish, turnips, peaches, etc. are cultivated according to the season as ingredients for the restaurant.

We cultivate pesticide-free foods that we eat, aiming to be safe and secure, and to keep them as natural as possible.

[Cultivation staff]

Our staff manages everything at Resora Farm, centered on Mitsuda. I would like to learn the gratitude of nature as well as the difficulty of agriculture and put that feeling into cooking.

[With local producers]

Not all ingredients are available at Resora Farm alone.

Farmers who are engaged in pesticide-free and organic farming in Amakusa also provide a lot of ingredients. (Onions, carrots, baby leaf, pumpkin, tomatoes, lemons, late citrus fruits, citrus fruits ...)

The restaurant also uses abundant livestock products from Kumamoto and Amakusa. Amakusa Daiou, Homaki pork, guinea fowl, red beef from Kumamoto prefecture, herb chicken ...

Of course, the seafood served at the restaurant also uses Amakusa ingredients carefully. (Amakusa red sea bream, prawns, sea bass, amberjack, sardines, octopus, turban shells, oysters, clams ...)

We also manufacture homemade gelato using seasonal ingredients from Amakusa.

Amakusa salt, milk, tea, decopon, lemon, Kumamoto strawberry, blueberry ...

Using a genuine Italian gelato machine, our pastry chef offers freshly prepared seasonal ingredients every day.

We will continue to value local ingredients and learn a lot at our own farm, "Resora Farm".

We will create and commercialize better agricultural and marine products from local producers and provide them to everyone. Tourism is said to be a broad-based industry. We will keep you informed of our efforts, and we hope that you will continue to refer to this website.
